Even if you don’t, this is some impressive architecture.

Channel 9’s popular reality show, The Block, is rumored to be the new owner of a striking art deco factory in Port Melbourne. Pushing in over $5,000,000 to acquire the property, The Block’s producers are gearing up for a full on season.

Currently, the building is boarded up and construction debris is scattered around the plot. Formerly a soap factory, the dusty atmosphere is a far cry from the building’s former glory.

I am a huge fan of art deco and the buildings that have sprung from the movement, and even though I only see the show when I flick past Channel 9, I can’t wait to see the contestant’s results.
